Shortwave receiver 1.68 - 40 MHz, the "biggest and heaviest" in the collection (surface taken up = 0.4m2, weight 65 kg) and the only one using a "magic eye", power supply built in, with shock absorbers for vehicle operation. This thing would cost 200000 French Francs in 1950 (about 10 - 20 average annual salaries or appr. 20000 EUR in today's money).

Blaupunkt Köln Tr G92xxx Series 1956 LW MW FM-Band Car radio, stamped 17. August 1957 on the inside of the lower cover, specially made for Porsche 356, 12VDC supply, using the latest generation of tubes (ECC85, EF89, ECH81, EBF89, EABC80, ECF80, EC92) plus two transistors TF80/30 and one TF80/30z for audio final and power conversion circuits, the world's first automatic scan/lock function for FM transmitter tuning is working extremely well, very good receiver working fine on all bands without any switchover problems. Original knobs available, as well as the triple colour sensitivity switch for the automatic scan/lock. Two different speaker output impedances for optimum matching. Connection cable for other audio equipment attached. Take care: Audio-in and audio-out must be bridged on this cable (normally done by a special plug), otherwise the radio won't work. Volume/bass/treble potentiometer also houses power contact, which is broken. Therefore the power connection cable is modified and enters the converter unit rather the main radio. The radio has an original additional plastic half housing for mounting it outside the dashbord.   ri RA0019000 al

The "statesman receiver", mains (optionally also battery) operated transistorised receiver for LW, MW, SW and FM band. Receiver did not work because of internally corroded OC171 Germanium HF-transistors in the 3-stage IF-section. Because I could not get OC171 transistors I took Russian Germanium HF-transistors as replacement. I soldered them in without retuning (!!). The receiver now works very well with these high quality metal encapsulated fully shielded devices. Copy of manual wgl50 RA0089000 ra-lkk

EMY Radio Paris Receiver_"E" Emyradio Paris made this prototype shortwave receiver in the late thirties. Before it could be finished the receiver was confiscated by the parts supplier. The antenna trimmer, the power transformer and the internal metal sheetsware are not mounted. Also the receiver indicates 4 ranges on the front panel but only two ranges were actually installed. The receiver works with external power. It's a one of a kind shortwave receiver using precision clockwork mechanics including a pull-out 1-to-8 fine reduction for delicate tuning of the main and the bandspread variable capacitors.   Sor RA0091000 ra-lkk

Telefunken T540 1934/35 Pre war medium and long wave car receiver ("Autosuper") using "A"-tubes replacing the original RENS1224, RENS1234, REN914 and REN 1374d complement. Originally believed to be a Telefunken T655 (looks very similar but the T655 already uses "E"-tubes); recent research showed that the "A" series tubes were replacing the "RENxxxxxx" series with small socket wiring modifications (AH1 for the RENS1224 hexode mixer, AH1 for the RENS1234 hexode controlled IF amplifier, AC3 for the REN914NF-amplifier and AL1 for the REN1374d as speaker tube). Supply 6 VDC, with mechanical remote control to be mounted on dashboard, featuring original key and station inscriptions. Speaker in case. Case corroded but electronics is in reasonable shape.
